Vet News: National Guard (In Federal Status) and Reserve Activated as of January 13, 2015

The Marine Corps Reserve announced an increase activated National Guard members and reservists this week, while the Army National Guard, Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve announced a decrease of activated National Guard members and reservists. Coast Guard Reserve numbers did not change from last week. The net collective result is a decrease of 808 activated National Guard members and reservists in comparison to last week.
At any given time, services may activate some units and individuals while deactivating others, making it possible for these figures to either increase or decrease. The total number currently on active duty from the Army National Guard and Army Reserve is 16,902; Navy Reserve, 2,778; Marine Corps Reserve, 924; Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, 5,856; and the Coast Guard Reserve, 300. This brings the total National Guard and reserve personnel who have been activated to 26,760, including both units and individual augmentees.
