Travelodge, owned by Wyndham Hotel Group, opened in 1935 when building contractor Scott King started a motel named “King’s Auto Court” in San Diego. The motel was an instantaneous hit and was fully booked for most of that year, prompting King to expand to 24 more Southern California locations. Now renamed Travelodge, the hotels are located across the U.S. and Canada, and are close to beach destinations, downtown adventures and everything in between. And, when you stay at Travelodge, our members will enjoy amenities like free continental breakfast and free high-speed Internet.
