Veterans Advantage and Lufthansa Announce New Military Discount Partnership on Airfares

Lufthansa and Veterans Advantage

Lufthansa and Veterans Advantage announced a new military discount of up to five percent on airfare for Veterans Advantage members with the VetRewards Card.

The Veterans Advantage discount is available on transatlantic flights on Lufthansa Passenger Airlines, which includes Lufthansa German Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines and Austrian Airlines, as well as Brussels Airlines.

“With this partnership, we hope to provide all U.S. military personnel, veterans, National Guard, reservists, and their families, enrolled in Veterans Advantage, more opportunities to see the world,” said Frank Naeve, Vice President Airline Sales, Lufthansa Group, The Americas. “Working with astute organizations as Veterans Advantage, the Lufthansa Group remains committed to serving this important region and we are proud to grow our roots of corporate citizenship and partnership in the U.S.”

VetRewards Cardholders can book all four airlines’ Veterans Advantage discounts on a private reservation engine hosted on the Veterans Advantage member site (VeteransAdvantage.com). Members can also enroll in Miles & More, the airlines’ reward points program, to accumulate points with their discounted fare for future travel.

“Today’s partnership now gives our members the very best air travel options to Europe,” said Scott Higgins, co-founder and CEO of Veterans Advantage. “We are delighted to welcome the Lufthansa Group, the world’s largest airline group, to our coalition of airline partners.”

Since Presidents Day 2001, Veterans Advantage has provided military credentials to over one million members to redeem military discounts. All military personnel, veterans, National Guard & Reserve are eligible. Immediate family of the current or former service member can also enroll.

Lufthansa is the sixth major airline to join the Veterans Advantage partner coalition. It is independently rated as Europe’s first and only five-Star airline, making it one of the ten best premium airlines in the world. Lufthansa also won the title of ‘Best Airline in Europe’ for 2018, for the second time in a row, as rated by Skytrax, the UK airline rating agency, as well as Air Transport World’s “Airline of the Year” this past March.
