Getting Military Discounts & Deals in Stores and Restaurants

Our Veterans Advantage Members report that they have the advantage of using their VetRewards Card ID to securely redeem military discounts as a valid military ID, without having to have a government-issued military ID or using their sensitive military documents, such as the DD214.

VeteransAdvantage.com offers hundreds of top retailers and leading travel providers that publically advertise their military discounts redeemed with the VetRewards Card. However, some establishments are known to offer military discounts or special freebies with only some kind of valid military ID. Unlike Veterans Advantage's military discounts, these are not generally advertised offers. Also, some chains leave this to the franchise owner's discretion. So deals can vary from location to location. And, unlike Veterans Advantage discounts, they may not be available every day. You need to ask!

Veterans Advantage Members report that they have securely redeemed military discounts with their VetRewards Card ID at businesses that will ask for a valid military ID. We have made a list of these establishments below that are known to have accepted the VetRewards Card as a valid military ID for the military discount:

Cover Story: Heroes Meet Heroes 2024

On November 7, WeSalute held its fifth streaming of the “Heroes Meet Heroes” event, where military heroes meet Olympic heroes. Moderated by WeSalute co-founder and Chairman Scott Higgins, the annual conversation was started 12 years ago by WeSalute CEO Lin Higgins. It celebrates both the military and sports successes and similarities across two panel discussions. This year’s session was dedicated to Captain Paul “Bud” Bucha, a Medal of Honor recipient and longtime member of the WeSalute Advisory Board who passed away this year at the age of 80.
