Wendy's Benefits for WeSalute Military & Veterans

Founded by U.S. Army Veteran Dave Thomas, who was awarded as a WeSalute TopVet, Wendy’s military roots run deep.

Thomas volunteered at age 18 for the Army at the onset of the Korean War and attended the U.S. Army’s Cook and Bakers School at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Sent to Germany, he attained the rank of staff sergeant and became one of the youngest soldiers to manage the Enlisted Men's Club. 

In addition to supporting military and veterans, he also supports another cause deep to his heart. Thomas was adopted as a child and founded the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption to help kids find permanent, loving homes.
